Why don’t we make a movie for free?
Movie fans can thank Netflix for that, as the streaming video service recently announced a free movie service called Cinema Free.
Netflix has been releasing movies for free on the service since late last year, and it looks like it will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
The company says that Cinema Free is a curated service that offers films that are in the public domain, and the service has over 1,500 movies to choose from.
“Cinema Free is an opportunity to watch films for free,” Netflix said in a press release.
“The service will bring more great movies to Netflix subscribers, including classics, films from the world of art, and new and up-and-coming films.”
For a limited time, Cinema Free will only be available in the U.S. and Canada, and subscribers can only watch films that they own.
It will be available through August.
